Understory Landscaping is a project of Tony Brino. My goal is to serve residential and commercial landscaping needs in ways that are affordable and sustainable.
I draw from experience and skills in agriculture, construction and healthcare. I have a goal of helping people and organizations plant more perennial gardens, trees and shrubs.
As inspiration, I look to our local Great Lakes ecosystems, as well as traditions from the Seneca and Haudenosaunee Nations and Rochester’s horticultural history.
Understory Landscaping is named after an important part of any forest: the next generation. It represents our landscape design and management values of biodiversity, regeneration and resilience.
Understory is happy to be listed as a landscape professional with Homegrown National Park and the Ecological Landscape Alliance, along with other great nurseries and landscapers from across New York.
